Reocurring Dreams

I have had so many dreams where I am desperately trying to get home because my kids are left alone. I am not sure of why I dream this considering my kids are young enough I would never leave them by themselves.

However I have a dream where I am in my car and I can't get home. Either there is massive traffic or road blocks. I decide to get out and run home but again more road blocks...running into people who somehow need my help but I can't stop I have to get home. I would keep running and fall and try to get up but I couldn't. I would fall in quick sand...all kinds of crazy stuff.

...and then I wake up...run into my kids rooms and there they are sleeping soundly.
I have had this dream so often...I know it's not about my kids as your dreams are symbolic of something...aren't they? You know a sign...maybe it's a sign I need to work out; you know to build stronger muscles...maybe run. This way I am stronger and can protect my family.
But then my hubby tells me typically when you have these running dreams where you get no where is typically because your feet are underneath the covers.
Thank goodness...I didn't want to have to start working out today! I like his idea better.
Ok-I'll start by walking...and then work up to it...Rome wasn't built in a day people!

Thanks MamaKat

OMG...laughing so hard at both your theories on the meaning of your dream!! That is so funny! I would love to hear what both of you think about my skunk dreams!

"and then I wake up...run into my kids rooms and there they are sleeping soundly."

that is the BEST feeling to have when you just wake up from those dreams.

And I got nothing. Let's just go with your hubby's theory! =0D

Your husband is so wise. I was thinking I needed to start running too. Phew. Don't have to. I think it shows that you are a good mommy and scenarios like that would scare you......and you'd never leave them. :)

SCARY! I'm sure I'll have dreams like that when I have children. I'm sure it's only natural. HIlarious that you go check on your kids. Cracks me up! Isn't it weird what our minds can do to us?

I hate working out too. blech! Also, I have dreams where I'm swimming in the air but sooooo slowly that I can't get to where I need to go....kind of similar.

"thank goodness...I didn't want to have to start working out today!" Yes, I like hubby's idea better too. I hateeeeee working out. Dave works out every single day. (mmm, haha) but, I don't. Which is okay because he loves me just the way I am!!

I am all about some dream meanings, but I do agree with your husband on this one. The other night I was laying on my stomach sleeping (which I never do) and because my head was in the pillow I couldn't breathe as good as I normally do so I had a dream that I was suffocating.

Have a great weekend!!
