As I Sit Here

...among boxes getting ready for the move. It's out of balance somewhat as we don't know the exact date that we can make the trip. The tenants who are currently residing in the place we will be renting haven't communicated the exact date of their move out prior to 3/31.

I am ready to know the day we load up the truck and make our way. I was hoping it would be a week from Thursday now it could be the following week.

I have packed up Love and Zman's room; meanwhile all that sits is the toys/boxes/furniture that is ready to load on the truck. The living room is packed up and bare except for the tv that we were going to sell but decided to bring with us and the sectional which again we were planning on selling but decided we had room.

This has been one stressful move. Mostly because I am not working and I am in limbo. I am looking for a job in Colorado but I can't fully focus as I am stressing about the details of packing and moving and can't give 100% to finding a job. This is the first time I have been unemployed in a very long time and not have something lined up...so this is weighing on me too.

You Can Hear A Pin Drop While Waiting For My LightBulb Moment

Hubby went back to work today; I have the day off and have been lounging around with the kids. They went upstairs a few hours ago to take a nap and it's just me and Brutus. No tv on, no music, just the sound of me typing this post.

It's given me some time to really think about what I want in this new year. I am thinking about going back to school...perhaps; if I can figure out what I wanna do when I grow up. I think it's about time; I'm 31 and I kind of fell into my real estate career when I was 16. It's definately not something I set out in life to do; somethings we don't plan they just happen right? But I want to look back and say; this is what I want to do.

I am really going to dig deep over the next fews days and try and figure it out. Wish me luck!

Reflections

Today only confirmed that little Caylee Anthony is in Heaven. You may remember my post about it but it's been all over the news for months.

This beautiful, innocent little girl will be laid to rest. I am just so thankful they found her. It just kinda hits home and makes you feel so connected especially when you have children not to mention a child her same age and full of spunk just as the videos showed of Caylee.

This little girl didn't want to be famous; she didn't ask for any of this...God rest her soul.

**********************************************************
I am taking next week off to be with my kids and my hubby for the first time. I normally always have to work and due to my line of work it's all about end of year closings...but this year I am taking off and I am going to relish in every minute I have with my family. Baking cookies, listening to Christmas music, wrapping presents and just being in this moment with them. My hubby has decided to work from home so we can all be together.

Things are really tight for us this year and who knows if I will have a job next month. I am just thankful that I was able to get my kids shopping done. My hubby and I are not exchanging gifts; this will be the first time in my entire life that I won't be opening a present on Christmas morning but you know what; I have the best gift of all...a husband who puts up with me and loves me for all my flaws and truly loves me...deep down love, kids who see past my faults as a mother and love me more for it. (I am no Suzy homemaker...but I can keep a clean house with the help of my hubby and kids)

I wish you, my friends this Holiday season Love, Laughter and togetherness with your family and friends. I wish you all a healthy and prosperous New Year. Let's all just slow down over the next week and remember what is truly important this time of year...not to mention year round.

Reflections

Tonight I had happy hour with one of my girlfriends I don't get to hang out with very much. Even though she lives 20 minutes away we get caught up in our daily lives and don't get to see each other very often.

While we were having drinks she was telling me about her recent break up with her live in boyfriend of many years. And she started telling me what her perspective was on what went sour in the relationship or how they grew apart. And then the topic of insecurities came up. I had no idea she had any. I know that is naive because everyone does but it was an "ah ha" moment.

It made me reflect on my own life. I am truly where I am supposed to be right now. Even though I am not the skinniest girl, or the prettiest (I am pretty HOT though) girl, or I may not have as much money as the next person. I am where I am supposed to be right now. I have love with my best friend who I am lucky to also call my husband. We are coming up on our 10 year anniversary next year and we are more in LOVE today than we were then. I truly love this man for putting up with me and my quirks. I have great kids who love each other so much. And we have our health but most of all we are truly a "family".

Sometimes in life you meet people who seem to be "put together" but you never really know what that person has going on in their own life.

Life is what you make of it.

LIVE LAUGH LOVE Right Steph ?
