Now What?

Today is my last day with my current employer. They broke the news to me on Monday...hence why I have been a little down and not posting.

I am now in the stage of Now What?

Love is happy though she wants to do make-up on Monday and play dress up. Zman is excited since I will be home when he arrives from school...he asked me the other night "mom will you make me a snack or something when I get home?"

Last night when we were done working out at the gym hubby said to me...

Hubby-Starting Monday you will be doing all the stuff around the house

Me-Like what?

Hubby-You know cooking, cleaning, taking care of the kids because you will be home.

Me-Oh no...I won't be doing any cooking; we know how that turns out.

Hubby-Oh you can make a couple things

Me-Like what...eggs and bacon? Bologna sandwiches?

But you know what? You have cheered me up throughout the ordeal when JT lost his job - You'll be ok. Like you said before, things happen for a reason. You'll get through it with your husband.

Enjoy Love... I'll be praying for you!!

I'm sorry to hear about your job loss. Hang in there...I'm sure the adjustment period will be strange, but hopefully you'll settle in quickly. Who knows...you just might learn to cook more and love it! You could be the next candidate on top chef!

Oh, honey! I'm sorry about the job loss! It's troublesome times we are living in now. Now that you have the time, maybe you can watch some Food Network and learn something from my favorite woman in the whole entire world, Paula Deen! HAHA! Yeah, maybe not, but all her food always looks so good! Enjoy the time you will get to spend with the kiddos! They will love it! (there's always a good side to a bad story right?)

I am praying for you! So sorry to hear about this situation. I bet your children are loving it. I know when I was their age I loved it when my mom was off work when I got home from school. I do hope something comes your way soon.

Ohh Rachel.. I am so sorry to hear this news! I understand the bad economic times, but if we are required to give employers two weeks notice--they should freaking have the same courtesy! Thinking of you & your precious family!

P.S. It is a blessing that you will be able to spend more times with your children! I'm sure they will treasure those memories forever!!

Oh I am SO sorry! You know I have been laid off since January 9th so I DO know how you feel. I am here if you need to talk. Also, I used to get resumes together for people in terms of formatting (free) and so forth so I can help if you need. I suggest you put your resume & profile on Career Builder so that when you see some jobs you can apply and your info gets sent. Hardly any employers are advertising in print these days because it's so expensive. Forgive me if you know all these things but let me know if you need anything.

Girl, I'll have a shot or two, or 3 or 4... F it, let's do the whole bottle of bacardi!!! That'll definitely help... you'll forget all about your problems if only for a bit! =0D
God knows that's what I did to survive... j/k

But seriously though (although the above WAS a serious offer) you & your family WILL be all right. The economy sucks right now... you know I went through pretty much the same thing, and it won't be pretty. Times will be hard, you'll learn to love beans & rice (LOL) but there is a pretty side to it. These hard times make your family STRONGER! You'll enjoy some quality time with the kiddos. Just enjoy it! And always remember that there IS a bright light at the end of the tunnel. You might not see it now, but you soon will. I know it! It took me a while to find it, but I did. and so will you.

I just truly hope that you don't lose your internet like I did!!! I don't know what I'd do without reading your posts!!!!!
=0D

Hang in there girl!
Luv Ya!

Girl, I am sooooo sorry to hear that. This economy is a scary thing. I hope all works out for you. I have been such a bad blogger....
I just love your new blog, it looks so cute. Did you do that yourself? If so you should start a business. You could do blogs and web-site...
Also, I wanted to let you know that I am going to be in Orlando the week of March the 8th. I think that is where you live, right? Maybe we can meet up somewhere?

PS...I'm thinking of trying to do the AGD meet up/girls weekend thing in June or July when we are there for the summer. I'll keep you posted. I'm hoping to nail down our dates and make an announcement on the blog about it all just as soon as I know for sure.
