Love Don't Stop

Yesterday was Day 1 of me being at home with my Lil Love. I must say I think I may be her favorite parent now.

We woke up yesterday morning and got Zman and Hubby off to work and decided it was a good idea to curl up in my bed and watch her shows (because we take turns and it was her turn) for a little while. I think we got our energy at 9:30 and we got up and took showers.

At that point is when the food topics set in; she wanted lunch at 9:30. I explained that it was breakfast time and I could make her a waffle, she settled on it.

10 minutes later...

Love-I hungwy mom

Me-What do you want for a snack

Love-Ummm I want sometin in a can

Me-It's not lunch time yet, you can have that for lunch

Love-When is lunch time?

Me-11:30

Love-Oh man...what time is now?

Me-10 o'clock

Love-But I want shells with meat balls pwease mom? pwease?

Me-In a little while ok.

Love-Okkkkkkkkkkkk

5 minutes later

Love-Can I have lunch now?

Cute. The 1st few days are really fun at home, stolen moments. Then a different feeling sets in somewhere around Day 23, guilt even though we had no control over the situation. Then you go back to feeling good again because you're making most of the time. Oh, I'm sorry, was I just saying that all out loud.

No really, enjoy the time because when do we have this kind of time. You look, then enjoy, you look, then enjoy some more, then have a glass of wine.....

I used to beg my mom for a grilled cheese every morning for breakfast, but she used to pour me a bowl of cereal instead.

Now that I'm an adult, I make grilled cheese :)

Bummer about your job, but you'll find that the free time is nice for a while.
