Fall Schmall

You know after reading all of these blogs and hearing people say "fall is here" "first day of fall"...what I say Fall Schmall. How am I supposed to know it's fall? Heck I don't even know when each season starts; even my calendar doesn't tell me "hey Rachel today is the 1st day of fall"...it's HOT here and then you know what; it gets really cold...for about 2 months and that is it. I live in Florida people...fall to me is at Christmas Time when it gets a little chilly...I want falling leaves, pumpkin patches, crisp air...I want it all for FALL! What I get is HEAT...take your breath away, wet patches under your arms and between your legs HEAT!

I long for the day we move to Colorado. I love it...the mountains, the streams, the houses, the food, the people...I want it! I'm thinking of starting a collection fund..."Rachel Wants to Move to Colorado Fund" and "Rachel Need a Job in Colorado Fund" (need my resume email me)...maybe I can get a bank to host it; you know collect all the checks...until then a girl can dream and live vicariously through my blog buddies.

I totally agree! We have zero seasons in San Antonio either! It's still in the 90's here... We'll be lucky if it gets COOL by Thankgiving :(

Georgia is no better, HUN! We stay hot until Thanksgiving and then cool down. By the end of January, its usually time to put away the winter coats again, but I don't know that I would like winters antwhere but the south because I don't do snow!

Operation Skinny Bitch tomorrow? LOL.

I.could.not.live.in.Florida Do you know that when I get really hot I pass out? Yeah, doctors can't figure it out either. So I am HAPPY cooler times are coming so I can start going outside more!!

I know what you're talking about, girl!!! You know I'm in Florida, too:) I briefly was in NJ last year and it was gorgeous during Fall. Just beautiful!!! We got to play with clute sweaters and boots. But then again, I hated winter there. It sucked. Too cold. I love warm climate:)

It would be nice for the kids to learn about seasons though which we lack here in Florida...

It's pretty much the same here in LA ...maybe not as hot though. The leaves do turn and then fall but it doesn't really get cold until January. Saying that, I love when it's warm and sunny on Christmas morning! People say it only feels like x-mas when it's snowing ...but I disagree :)

I missed your Rock Band invite ...damn! I hope you had fun ...I would say maybe this weekend but the husband is leaving town so I probably won't play much ...but soon. If you have x-box, I'm Evil Mrs Peppers :)

Yes you can dream! :) I would so hate to live in Florida! But here in Northern Wisconsin it gets too damn cold for me!! We have longer, colder, and snowier winters here... so not looking forward to it.

Ah, I could not live without the seasons! I looooooooove them. Come to my house and you can experience Fall in all it's glory. But let's wait a few weeks until all the leaves change.

Ooh girl, I know what you mean! I want it to look like FALL outside, not still be all hot and with the a/c on. But I don't think I could stand the COLD, COLD COLORADO! Brrr!
I'd stick with Florida!

Fall is great, but then winter comes with dirty snow and frozen roads and being snowed in your house for days at a time and it doesn't warm back up until June. I love Colorado, but I hate the winters here.

This Texas gal feels your pain. I would love to live somewhere on the east coast... only in my dreams. I'll be in Texas forever. Yee-ha! ~Jill :)

Only in Texas can your daughter wear flip flops - straight through the school year! I'm with you sister..I want to move to Montana or the mountains of New Mexico. I want to raise my kids in the mountains and have a creek right outside my door. If only there was a way to make a living.. ugh!

Love reading your blog!

I love seasons so much! They are my most favorite thing! Winter can be a little crazy though! Yours sound lovely! I am so jealous of your beach jaunts all year round though! COOL!

I am right there with ya, sista!!! We live in Florida, too and I LONNNGGG to see some sort of seasons change (yea right).... Although, I will say-- a day like today (81 degrees with no humidity) feels like "Fall" for us Floridians...right??

It's just now starting to get cold in SC, although I'm sure it won't last much longer. (but then again 70 is cold to me). I like fall, but I can't stand the cold weather. I'll just be glad when it gets warm again.
