Ok to change your template you can use the ones blogger has for free or you can pay for one. I really like Shannon from eightcrazy designs, and Heather (who did mine) is just starting to get her site up and running.
On my sidebar underneath the "poems" section, I believe I have two posts for newbie bloggers that goes over all that stuff.
