We Made It

View outside our local grocery store...a lot different than FL.

Love sleeping in the car.

Once we arrived it snowed and the kids were building a snowman.

View driving behind hubby.

Another view and a gorgeous day.

She cracked me up.

This guy saved the day!

I almost threw up...the trailer was defective...half the car was on the trailer the other half off.

This caused us to leave 4 hours behind schedule.

Love all ready before we left Florida.

Yes indeed. After 4 long days in the car with Love while Hubby had Zman riding with him in the truck it was quite the adventure. I have to say the ride through Kansas...LONG! We had a mishap when loading Hubby's car onto the trailer...see photos.

However we made it to Colorado last Wednesday at 4pm and an hour after we arrived it snowed...and the kids were already building snowmen...it was priceless and I am so glad they got to experience it. The next day we woke up to sunshine and the snow was melted...gotta love Colorado in April that is for sure.

It's so peaceful seeing the mountains everyday...they are amazing. I can't wait to explore everything Colorado has to offer.

Yellow Cars

We were supposed to get hubby's car back last Tuesday. Then the dealership where his car is being repaired called on Wednesday and said it would be ready on Friday no later than Monday. Then we get a call on Friday to inform us that is won't be ready on Monday however he would have it ready on Wednesday at the latest. (Are you seeing a little bit of a pattern here?) Keep in mind they have had my car since October 1 2008.

So I trot my happy self over to the dealership and explained the false promises were unacceptable. He of course blames it on the paint and it takes two days to dry before they can put the decals on? (WTF??? Is this the first car that you have repaired that needed paint and decals or were you just naive and figured you could slap those decals right on before the paint was dry?)

I informed him that he needed to get me a rental at his expense because I have exhausted my rental coverage (and the wonderful person who hit me didn't have enough insurance so I had to claim under my insurance...biatch) and so he agreed to get me a car on Wednesday. I explained that wouldn't be acceptable considering it was supposed to be ready earlier last week and then he changed it to no later than Monday (yesterday). He agreed to get me a rental today. This is now what I am driving...

It's not bad...but yellow? I honestly believe there should be certain colors of the rainbow that should not be painted on cars. The only yellow vehicles on the road should be school buses. My hubby volunteered to drive this tomorrow but I will save him any embarrassment and I will drive it.

Hubby is definitely counting down the days until he can drive this again...

Lil Banged Up

I was in a car accident yesterday. Some lady decided to bend down to pick up something (someone who worked for the fire dept who appeared to be on duty at that...shouldn't she know better???) while going about 45 mph and rammed into me while I was waiting at a light. I am at home now healing through the pain and going through this grueling process of doctor appointments, insurance companies etc etc etc.

I thank God for watching over me as I was able to walk out of the hospital and come home to my family. I am very sore today with some neck pain and my left arm is swollen with some brusing but I won't know the extent of my injuries until my follow up appointment with my doctor.

My spirit is a little saddened and I am really scared to drive right now but I will pull through. God was with me yesterday. Now I am trying to figure out the gift or lesson learned in this ordeal.

I will post more later.
