Just One Wish...

...for snow. I know most of you now experiencing zero below weather or snow storms are probably reading this and thinking "what is she nuts?" but yes I am nuts...for my kids.

All my kids have been wanting is a white Christmas and hubby and I so desperately want them to be able to relish in it...make snow angels, build snowmen, have a snow day from school and yes shovel it.

I have spoken before about moving to Colorado...we wish we were already there especially this time of year. Again you probably think I am crazy "what move to Colorado from Florida?" Yes. I have lived in Florida 26 years; I am ready for a change, a new place, new surroundings, change of seasons and snow!!!

So while you are warming your car up in the morning before work, shovelling snow off your driveway, building a snowman, making snow angels, or just watching the snow fall; know that I want to be there doing all of that with my family.

I understand why you want to go, what with being here for 26 years. Me, I was in NY for 26 years so for now FL is it for me.

We're in CA and the hills around us are dusted with snow the past few days...I'd love to take the kids up for the experience but we'd have to buy snow apparel which we can't afford...so much for the fun.

Oh I know!!! My kids are just dying for snow! We're going to Amarillo to visit my grandma after Christmas and Taylor thinks they always have snow (which they DON'T!). I'm just praying that maybe we'll get something while we're there.

Poor things...

I want snow in the worst way. I love it! We had a dusting a few weeks ago, but nothing that hung around very long. We have had alot of rain and yesterday it was almost 60 degrees. Very unusual for PA. Hopefully we will get our white Christmas:)

i've lived in snowy areas before, had lots of fun but it only lasted until the fingers and toes started getting numb. snow is so pretty, i just love it. maybe we'll get some this year with all this crazy weather that's been going on. it's been 20 years since the lovely little white flakes floated around here, so who knows, maybe we're due..

My son living in So Cal is asking for snow for Christmas... on the mountains in the distance YES... on our front yard NO. You're not alone in your wish!

The bad thing about snow is snow days!!! But it really is fun. The kiddos need to come visit me. We have plenty of the white fluffy stuff for them right now.

Fritz has tagged Brutus on my blog!!! :)

Here you are wanting snow and I'm wanting away from our snow to your beaches there in sunny Florida. Ha ha! We always want what we don't have - don't we? It's part of the human spiecies I think. If I could bring some snow to you when we leave Friday to head your way, I surely would. Don't think the airlines would approve but I'd sure do it for you sista'! Ha ha!
Merry Christmas and happy New Year - snow or not.
PS...we'll be in Naples from this Friday until the 5th of January. Yes, should you ever get some free time and want to meet, you know how to reach me gur-fren. I like your way of thinking. Hee hee!

I wish the same for my kids, too. I used to see snow when I used to live in Japan, but not anymore except when I go up to NJ. I've been to Tahoe when JT used to live there and it's beautiful out there!!!

Maybe you can plan a trip next year in Colorado for Christmas or Spring break?

xoxo

Me too! I love living by the beach, but snow would be so fun! I'm moving to Colorado as soon as I am done with my "stuff" here. I don't really think moving my grandma would be a good idea

Girl... I know how you feel. That's why we went crazy for a couple of hours when flakes were falling in Houston. They didn't even stick to the ground but we didn't care. Can you believe it snowed in Vegas this morning? Wow... what are the odds?!? LOL

Swoon. I HEAR ya loud and clear! We, too, are planning to move to Colorado. We lived there when the kids were tiny tots. It is so beautiful there.

Love your snowman pic!

I'd rather be on the beach vs. the blizzard we possibly face tonight here..UGH! I've never been one for snow myself, I hate freezing my butt off!

The Wife O Riley said...

I send you some, we have plenty already and we are suppose to get 8-14 inches tonight. I'm over it.

Oh Rachel,

I have great news about Colorado is that yes you will get that snow you want, but also we get over 300 days a year of sunshine as well. It really is a place for all seasons. Let me know if you are ever headed this way:)

Unknown said...

Well definitely let me know if you have any questions about any of those towns.

Merry Christmas as well, I am sending you some snow;)
