We were all outside watching Clark Griswald (hubby) decorate the outside of the house when Zman brought up Christmas gifts. I asked him what he was planning on getting me and he replied "how about I make you a nice picture or something?" My response..."what a homemade Christmas gift...what am I going to do with it after Christmas...toss it in a box with all the other pictures you and Love have made? I want something I can use like a new purse or something (slow your roll folks he knows I am kidding and I love my kids pictures)
Zman-Your just kidding right mom?
Hubby-Zman I think you just came up with a great idea; we won't buy any presents this year we will just make homemade Christmas presents.
Me-That is a great idea!
Zman-What...no real presents? Well just what Santa brings of course.
Me-No we are going to save Santa a trip this year and tell him that we are just making pictures and stuff and there is no need to stop here.
Zman-Ahh man...really?
Hubby-Just think how meaningful it will be; you know the meaning of Christmas is about giving?
Zman-I know I know. But really no Santa presents?

I love the homemade gift idea, too! I'm trying to make a few to give to my loved ones, but unfortunately I didn't plan far enough ahead to make something for everybody. There's always next year!
I did this one year for my entire family. I haven't done it since then but I always take Ellie to a paint your own pottery place and she makes a special gift for her teacher & grandma (that we give in addition to the other gifts). It's become a super fun tradition. :) YAY for you teaching the kiddos the true meaning of Christmas.
Aww ZMan.....
awwww poor lil guy!!! lol hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving!!
Hey girl. You better get that weather warmed up before we arrive there on the 19th. Ha ha! No wind -no cold. Not allowed. :)
What part of Florida are you in? Anywhere near Naples?
PS...Were you the Rachel that commented on the blog the other day about moving away from parents? If not, disregard. Just wanted to make sure I knew who I was talking to. Hee hee!
Hugs sista! Hope your Thanksgiving ROCKED it this year.

Disregard the above girl. I figured out that it was a different Rachel. Hee hee! Thus, I'll spare you having to listen to me answer that question that the other Rachel asked on my blog. HA HA! Can you tell its Monday?

Homemade items are GREAT!
Santa's items are ALL homemade at the North Pole!
Coach purses are made at the house of COach... so doesn't that mean they are HOMEmade too... LOL
